What can we say? We love food. We’re partial both to authentico homespun meals and/or locally sourced, super fancy food. We can’t afford to eat out at ALL of Marin’s restaurants at once, so if you want to craft a strong recommendation for your favorite food source we’d welcome it.
Or if you’re really brave and like good company, maybe you’d like take us out to your favorite food spots so we can write your review! We have no shame when it comes to gifts of good food.
Speaking of which… our latest favorite:FORK

Last time I was in Marin, I ate at a wonderful little restaurant in Greenbrae (by the way Greenbrae’s not on your list of Marin places) called Cafe Z Epicerie. At breakfast and lunch you walk up to the counter to order, like at a fast food place, but then the food comes on real plates with real utensils, nothing plastic or styrofoam. And the food is great! Fresh ingredients full of flavor at a great price. Crepes, soups, sandwiches, salads.
At dinner, a waiter comes to the table to take your order. Being a vegetarian, I enjoyed the Moroccan Vegetable and Bean Stew with basmati rice, goat cheese, raisins & lemon zest for $11. There’s a wide range of entrees as well as burgers and sandwiches. Check out their website: CafeZ, or visit and try a meal yourself. It’s located at 282 Bon Air Center in Greenbrae.
Yeah you know, I don’t think I’ve really found Greenbrae yet. I’ll do that this weekend! It’s tucked somewhere around Ross…?! Here’s a chance for all Greenbrae residents to surface and give me grief!!!
Yikes, so I drove around what I THINK was Bon Air Center, but couldn’t find the cafe! Maybe I need to call the owners? Malls do tend to confuse me though…
