This is a companion guide to theMaringuide.com. It is a project in works, being built by people who are NOT FROM Marin.
To that end, we are wanting to route out all types who were born in, are living in, passing through, dreaming about, who can’t afford, stay anyway, or left long ago… this ridiculously amazing county. Help piece together a lively blog, depicting the many dimensions of Marin.
What was “old Marin” like? Where can we find the best cup of coffee? Which organizations need our help this weekend? Who’s got the best garden? What town boasts the most authentic (and fairly priced) thai or mexican food? Where do we find the shadiest coves? Whose boats need sailing crew? How can I find a doctor who accepts sliding scale fees? And where can we go to connect with others who want to collaborate, carrouse, hike, bike, build, design, dine in and hang out…?
Bring your ideas, gripes, memories, events, causes, and photos and tell us – What are you doing in Marin?
Thanks for the comment on my blog…I’ll send out the link to the mother’s clubs to get the word out…between San Rafael and Novato, there are about 700 members online. Did you see MarinMommies.com yet? They do a lot of family friendly features that highlight some of the cool things to do in the area, too.
This is a great idea, I love it!
Melissa
Yep – we added MarinMommies to TheMarinGuide, and also wrote to them requesting that they link us to their great site! We’ll all get connected somehow!
