This week, I was telling a friend about the “Not Married in Marin” section of this blog; he agreed, meeting other interesting singles in Marin isn’t super easy. And, for those of us who are willing to brave the world of internet connections, what resources exist for us?
A quick google search of “single in Marin,” brings up websites with broken links, fuzzy photos, and one professional match making team whose fees start at over $5k. Ulp.
So for now, let’s think of fun ways we can lure our dates, from other places – like San Francisco say? – to Marin. I’ve got the first idea from an SF boy who suggested this for Sunday:
Hiking in Fairfax then ice cream at Scoop.
I countered with the next one:
Playing tennis (poorly is ok) at the Fairfax courts, then a beer on a sunny deck.
And how about…
Swimming at Bass Lake (good luck finding it – don’t want to send too much of a crowd there!)
A double feature at Sausalito’s movie house, or an art film at one of several of Marin’s classic theatres.
Live music at Rancho Nicasio on a moonlit clear night.
That’s a start. Feel free to offer more!
In the meantime, let us hear your stories about clever ways to meet singles in Marin.
